Having fairly considerably mastered the co-axial,S107 I decided to attempt out the Air Max 9103 fixed pitch Heli. This copter is a full several animal. It is pretty aggresive compared to the S107 but not almost as stable and percise. I don't know if I got a bad heli, but to commence out the LED light was not operating. My initial flight, it took off and hit the top of the garage door and slammed to the floor. The plastic Head cover broke as well as the cabin lock which holds the head cover in spot. The heli took off so quick that it didn't even give me a chance to trim it out. Glued the head cover as well as the cabin lock and tried once again. The heli is especially unstable as it tends to drift to the side. I have the rudder stick all the way forward and it does not go anyplace. When i hit the left or right rudder, it wants to orbit pretty fast. If you do not have adequate space in your home, you will be crashing it constantly. I'm a tiny disappointed in this heli as i thought that it would be as stable and more rapidly than the S107 but it's just faster, no where close to as stable. I would save my dollars.
I purchased this as step up from Syma 111g, 102G 107g. I was thinking that it be much more of a challenge and much more entertaining than the other Symas I have. It was challenge alright! Wild ideal from commence. Could not do anything indoors so I went outside. I could get it the air but other than throttle I had no control. So I attempted it outside and it crashed on the pavement smashing the canopy and 1 of the anchor pins for the canopy. Right after that I decided to move back indoors and attempt in the garage. Following studying what many people did on the DH 9103's the major brother the DH 9100 I adjusted the swash-plate to give it superior forward movement and began to make some progress. I found that you have to pre-adjust the trim settings to compensate for the 9103's tendency to spin counter clockwise all the time and trim the speed down as well becasue the main motor and tail motors are 2X as powerful than your 107G's. Right after performing pre-trimming (the remote does not keep in mind your settings btw). Just after that I lastly got it to hover! It flew quite very good just after that. I was starting to get excellent at it but it just had too a large number of genuinely difficult crashes and the prop blade pivot pins broke inside the hub so then I was accomplished. This is a single hard heli even though. Because my heli came it the reddish copper color I ordered new blade set from some spot in China. Nobody had that color in USA. Yellow ones are trendy but not my color! So I am waiting for my blades, two canopies, canopy anchors, prop hub and additional swashplate. I guess i will start out over again.
